Baby elephants are nothing if not curious. They’re either trying to figure
out why they can’t squeeze themselves into their old bathtubs, refusing to
leave their favorite mud spot, or trying to determine why they have such a
long nose.
So, when the baby elephant in the video below discovered some tourists, it
wanted to investigate. The mother, though, was having none of that.

Will Trump Allow Jeff Sessions To Re-Criminalize Medical Marijuana?
Yesterday, *Newsweek* warned that Jeff Sessions is planning to end the
recognition of the legitimacy of medical marijuana before the end of the
year. Sessions doesn't care that most states have legalized medical
marijuana and that 94% of Americans support legalization. Sessions believes
he can kill it on December 8.

Russia is the latest nation to join the hypersonic race, with its defence

flying up to eight times the speed of sound.
Viktor Bondarev, head of Russia's defence council, said on Tuesday that
Russia now has the Zircon missile, which was in development for the last 20
years. The weapon has the speed of Mach 8 and was tested in June on
Backfire bombers and ground-based missile launchers.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson continues to gut the State Department.
Remember who you work for. Courtesy of Raw Story:
*According to a Friday night report in the The New York Times, Tillerson
has not only frozen hiring and failed to nominate people to the majority of
the department’s politically-appointed positions — he’s also engaged in
what appears to be an intentional campaign to push out as many career
diplomats as possible. *
*“[Tillerson’s] small cadre of aides have fired some diplomats and gotten
others to resign by refusing them the assignments they wanted or taking
away their duties altogether,” the Times report states. “Among those fired ... more »
Two wolf pups are rescued from death and fight to regain their freedom
Francesco and Spartacus, 2 young wolves, spent a few months recovering from
the impact with a car when they were brought into the center of care, '

The rehabilitation of the two wolf pups was long and detailed: the contact
with humans limited to the minimum necessary, the food provided by wild
animals killed in road accidents.

with the Centre for Conservation and Research Exotic and Wild Fauna of

Big Cat Diary
Sir Bill Cash (centre). Kate Hoey (bottom left). And the rest.
When it comes to parliamentary select committees BBC high-ups must fear
Bill Cash's European Scrutiny Committee most of all.
In the last parliamentary session it contained many a Leave-backing lion,
ready and willing to sink both teeth and claws into any passing BBC editor
hoping to graze peacefully on the Westminster savanna.
Well, the committee's new post-election complexion is now known and I'm
guessing that BBC bigwigs will be even more loath to appear before it than
before, simply because there are even more lions... more »

Black Friday has come and gone. Thankfully. I have no problem with people
who wish to spend their time standing in line to snag a "deal" - most of
which are not really deals, but that's none of my business. However, it
did strike me this year that the deals they're standing in line for are for
themselves, unless suddenly people have an overwhelming desire to gift
someone with a 50" TV. Somehow I doubt it.

Who's The Best Candidate To Clean Out Trump's Filthy Pigsty-- Be It A Man Or A Woman?
Who's going to clean up the disgusting crap Trump and the Republican Party
took on America? Electing a Democratic Congress next year will be a start
but it won't be enough. America is going to need a smart, strong, capable

up King Augeas' stables, he only had one day to do it and he altered the
course of two rivers-- Alpheus and Peneus-- to get it done. Cleaning up
after Trump will be an even tougher task. Yesterday two of the Beltway
