History repeating. Cleary is only the latest Canadian scientist or govt rep to be fired while studying synthetic chemical / novel food technologies. New Brunswick's chief medical officer of health is fired while studying glyphosate.

Department of Health officials have only said it was a personnel matter and Health Minister Victor Boudreau told reporters the decision was not politically motivated.
Cleary was studying the potential public health impact of the controversial herbicide glyphosate when she was put on leave in November 2015.
Months after her firing, she's being recognized for "her outstanding contribution to public health and preventive medicine" by the Public Health Physicians of Canada.
Cleary is one of two people to receive the group's President's Award..."

Let's hope this testing of glyphosate will not be at the hands of biotech who have been caught multiple times to be manipulating studies. FDA=Monsanto revolving door. Keep a close eye on this one.
The rate of "Herbicide Resistant" GMO crops has skyrocketed in the last 20 years. The use of synthetic chemical "icides" has been skyrocketing right along side. USDA chart:

Heath Canada had no answers to why this "technology" rips up my gut when i discovered organics do not. So I scratched the surface and compiled the independent studies for them. To me, what Health Canada is doing looks like gross negligence.

Health Canada admits on their own website that their guidelines for GMO is as old as the technology itself, using data submitted by the patent holder of the GMO. Canadian's safety Guidelines were written long before GMO was "Smart Stacked" with multiple pesticides, insecticides and live bacterium built into the DNA of every GMO plant cell. With no independent safety testing, if biotech has been caught on multiple occasions to be fudging their studies, are Canadians food safety regulators just lip service?
In light of these shocking oversights by regulators, the precautionary principal most developed countries use in restricting or banning GMO seems the safer practice when choosing what we eat.
