The NSA and the DEA are working together...How?
By using KeySCORE data that NSA illegally obtained by tapping into
computers and Emails they know what we are doing and going. they then tip
off the DEA who in turn contacts the State police who then find any old
excuse to stop and arrest you and confiscate everything you have...They
then cover up how the investigation or tip off got started look for the

This wasn’t the normal piece by Dowd. Nor was this ridiculous profile

The House (Non-) Lock

Brad DeLong is absolutely correct about this:
[T]he failure in 2009 to nominate Fed governors who would give Bernanke a

freedom of maneuver was a huge unforced error.
Which he expanded (on twitter) to appointments more generally. Include
judicial appointments in that -- if Obama had filled DC Circuit and other
appeals court spots early, more decisions go his way over the years.
But is this right?
It is, I think, a powerful reason not to nominate senators--or, indeed,

Dees Illustration Stephen Lendman
They're in various forms. They repeat with disturbing regularity. America's
war on terror targets Islam. At issue is duplicitous scaremongering. It
advances Washington's imperium.
Wars of aggression follow. False arrests target innocent victims. Terror
threats repeat. They're strategically timed. They change the subject. They
divert attention.
They fool most Americans. They do so most of the time. Here we go again.
Media scoundrels march in lockstep. They regurgitate Big Lies.

US Embassy closures alleged to be related to chatter picked by up NSA surveillance ? Is our response to islamist " chatter " moving forward going to be cutting and running to hde under our collective beds because a bogeyman jihadist exists in the world somewhere and doesn't like us ? Will Yemen " chatter next week cause NSA , the Pricipals Committee and Congress to urge everyone in the US to " shelter at home " until further notice ? If the US continues in its new defensive crouch of being terrified of an islamist shadow soewhere in the world hoping to do something ( unspcified as to what , when , where or how - of course ) , we have lost the Terror War to the Terrorists , folks !

The meta-data explanation has now been unmasked as a mega-lie, according to
the latest revelations from exiled National Security Agency whistleblower

national security state spying on the electronic lives of Americans, the
Obama administration led by the president himself said the government was
not looking at the details of one’s electronic communications, web searches

way, poll volatility is not something a party that has hitherto enjoyed a

Supposedly one of the top ten reasons to become an academic economist is
that it gives you a chance to talk about money without ever having to make

The contrast between mainstream academic economics and "real world

that it seems the two have nothing at all in common. If you were to ask

McConnell and Graham face Tea Party flack
Don't want to get my hopes up too high but it's not impossible that we
could get rid of both Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham in 2014. To begin
with, McConnell's Dem opponent Alison Grimes delivered a sharp blow to
McConnell at the annual Fancy Farm hoedown in Kentucky. She's polling ahead
of him already. Here's hoping that will hold.
More importantly, McConnell is facing a Republican primary challenger who
speaks Teabonics and is likely to win over the hard core angry cons who
demand purity. Could split enough of the GOP vote to give Grimes the win.
One can dream anyway.
