Far-left media accusing Hispanics and black conservatives of 'white supremacy'
Fox News: Amid a number of notable Republican victories involving minority candidates and shifting voting trends in the United States, the liberal media has sounded the alarm on a new perceived political emergence: White supremacy and far-right extremism among Black and Hispanic conservatives. On Wednesday, The New York Times published a piece headlined "The Rise of the Far-Right Latina," referencing Mayra Flores, the first female Mexican-born member of the House, and two other Republican Latinas running for office, Monica De La Cruz and Cassy Garcia. The piece argued that Flor... read more

Biden's betrayal of America
Ed Brodow: 1. Biden is selling our petroleum reserves to China. Biden is selling off 180 million barrels (one third of the total) from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The stated goal: softening the pain on American citizens from higher gas prices. Releasing the oil should have reduced the price at the pump. Why isn't that happening? Because the oil being released is going to Europe, India, and China. "The Biden administration is selling off our emergency oil reserves to China," said Tucker Carlson on Fox's *Tucker Carlson Tonight*. "An impeachable offense. Selling off our... read more

PJ Media: Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh dropped by Morton’s Steakhouse in downtown Washington, D.C., for dinner Wednesday night, but it didn’t turn out to be a pleasant evening: Kavanaugh was spotted, Leftist protesters appeared, and the justice had to leave through the back door. A Morton’s representative then issued a statement saying that politics shouldn’t intrude on one’s “right to eat dinner,” and for Leftist Twitter, it was off to the races. “The right to eat dinner”? After independence in 1947, India’s political establishment, dominated by Westernized Fabian socialists and pseudo-secular nihilists, continued to regard the Hindus with contempt and suspicion. The BBC bending the truth again
As I posted on Tuesday, it took 36 minutes from the news of Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid's resignations breaking on the BBC News website for BBC One's *News at Six* to 'break' it too. Why? Because the BBC chose to stick with the tennis and postponed the news until 6:18pm. This week's *Newswatch* featured three aghast viewers. Then Samira Ahmed said: We asked to speak to someone about the decision to postpone Tuesday's *News at Six*, and more widely the practice of live sports events displacing scheduled news bulletins, but our invitation was declined. Instead we were given the state... read more

The Perennial Seeds of Zapata
Industrial agriculture has increased global food production over the past century while accruing disproportionate economic and societal benefits for industrialized nations. Across North America, these benefits have primarily been achieved by increasing production efficiencies, issuing extravagant corporate subsidies, and engaging in widespread habitat destruction that has transformed about half of the contiguous United States into cropland and pasture.1 Since the Industrial Revolution, and especially after scientific and economic developments of the early twentieth century, the cumu... read more

The Group of 20 Foreign Ministers Meeting, convened at the initiative ofIndonesiaunder its G20 presidency, focused on two major topics. Saturday Snippet: A chaplain at war
Back in the 1960's, one of my all-time favorite naval historians, the late John Winton, edited a volume of short memoirs of naval history during World War II. It was part of a trilogy called the "Freedom's Battle" series: the other two dealt with war on land and war in the air. His was titled simply "The War At Sea". It's long out of print, but still available as a used book. (I have all three volumes of "Freedom's Battle" in my library.) After the Falklands War of 1982, Winton started to gather stories from the servicemen who went to the South Atlantic to recapture the i... read more

By Thierry Meyssan RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – (Opinion) Sergey Lavrov used to compare the West to a wounded predator. Why does not Nick just interview himself?
I see Charles Moore is continuing to keep Nick Robinson firmly in the dock: Nick Robinson to the new Chancellor, Nadhim Zahawi, on *Today* on Wednesday: ‘I am asking you whether you told the truth and whether Boris Johnson told the truth and the simple answer is that you didn’t and he didn’t.’ Since he has the answers to all his own questions why does not Nick just interview himself? read more

Is this the right time to try it?
A recent edition of *Countryfile* made a concerted effort to promote a positive view of 'regenerative farming'. But however fashionable it may be it's worth noting where utopian visions of farming can lead. A nationwide experiment in organic farming by the Rajapaksa government in Sri Lanka went catastrophically wrong. In April 2021, Sri Lanka became the world’s first organic-only nation, by banning all agrochemicals. Here's the start of an article from *Foreign Policy* from March that explained what happened next: Faced with a deepening economic and humanitarian crisis, Sri Lanka ... read more
