Brain Scans And Artificial Intelligence Invade Schools
[image: brain-scans-and-artificial-intelligence-invade-schools] Ultra-creepy technology that George Orwell could not have imagined in his most terrifying nightmares is invading government-school classrooms — and children's minds — all around the world. While many of the Big Brother innovations are coming out of Communist China, they are making their way into American schools quickly as well. Parents, beware.
How to Make a Hummingbird Feeder Recipe That Mimics the Natural Nectar of Flowers
As far as birds in North America go, there are few more beloved than hummingbirds, whose wings flap at up to 90 beats per second according to the National Audobon Society. But despite their small size, hummingbirds need to eat a lot to keep up all that activity, as they spend their days feeding every 10-15 minutes by consuming half their body weight in bugs and nectar and visiting between 1,000 to 2,000 flowers per day, the Society said on its blog. In order to share the most effective way to feed the tiny little dynamos known as hummingbirds, the Society also shared its reci... more »
Billions of Wild Birds at Risk as United States Moves Forward with Plans to End Wild Bird Protections
The United States and North America in general have long been havens for a spectacular variety of wild bird species, but the number of wild birds has been on the decline in recent years, to say the very least. In 2019, a study was published in the journal Science to little fanfare, showing that the number of wild birds has declined dramatically in recent years. The study estimated that North America is now home to nearly three billion fewer birds today compared to 1970, meaning that more than 1 in 4 birds have disappeared from the landscape in a mere half of a century. “This was a... more »
Rare Footage Shows George Bush’s 1987 Visit to Monsanto, Uttering Seven Infamous Words That Would Change Everything
Proponents of genetically engineered crops would have you believe that we’ve been “modifying” foods for “thousands of years.” But the truth is that these lab-created GMOs are far different from traditional hybrid crops and have only been around for a few decades. And if not for intense lobbying on the part of St. Louis agrochemical giant Monsanto, GMOs might have never even seen the light of day in the United States. In 1986, with countless millions at stake, four executives from the Monsanto Company paid a White House visit to a then-Vice President named George H.W. Bush with the g... more »

Algorithmic decision-making has enormous potential to do good.
