The GOP Can't Win With Eric Cantor as Its Ambassador OK, here's the deal. Conor Friedersdorf had a perfectly fine column over at The Atlantic today giving Eric Cantor the business for being a wet sack of mush, at least in his rhetoric. Friedersdorf listens carefully to Cantor and hears nothing but the stalest of cliches; no policy, no stirring language, nothing. And it's a modest column; Friedersdorf ends with a "to be sure" paragraph noting that the job of a House Majority Leader can be more inside than outside, more nuts and bolts than rhetoric, and about the biggest claim he m... more »

Israeli stamps in US passport get student deported from UK « FresnoZionism.org — ציונות פרסנו

Not a sheep at Not a sheep - 19 hours ago
Is the UK becoming a no go zone for people who've visited Israel? Will Muslims in the British immigration service increasingly target people who've visited Israel? Will people who are obviously Jewish be next? If this had been a Muslim who'd visited Saudi Arabia the 'human rights' lobby would be up in arms, but as it's a Jew, not a word. Tells you all you need to know. More here http://fresnozionism.org/2013/06/israeli-stamps-in-us-passport-get-student-deported-from-uk/

5 Poison ‘Medicines’ Women Should Avoid and Replace with Natural Remedies by Christina Sarich

Stranger in a Strange Land at Stranger in a Strange Land - 20 hours ago
5 Poison ‘Medicines’ Women Should Avoid and Replace with Natural Remedies by Christina Sarich Natural Society, 1 July 2013 While science is always developing, the western world is slow to alter its ways in the face of evidence pointing to the dangers or inefficiency of new medicine and realizations that old treatments could replace current medicines. As ludicrous as this sounds, it is no different than some of the decisions we make with our health. Everyone could make some beneficial changes, and a woman’s well-being is often neglected due to these hard-sticking myths about our... more »

Researchers Cram More Info into Fiber Optics

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 20 hours ago
It has actually been astonishing to watch the climb of fiber optic capacity over the past four decades. This is one more notching up of that capacity. Beyond that we are obviously also approaching another building boom of new cable capacity as the 2000 peak has now been absorbed. At the same time the global market for internet demand in terms of users has also effectively tripled while actual throughput demand has increased by several orders of magnitude. We are not complete yet but we now can see the shape of the future and it is certainly the interactive holodec. It w... more »

Chinese Mathematician Discovers Groundbreaking Proof on Prime Numbers

This is a very interesting result and not what I would have expected. It is not the proof but that a finite bound exists to the infinite progression of this solution set. Intuitively, it should not. Congratulations as usual and it is always gratifying when the press actually notices an obscure result in Mathematics. Of course, Epoch could hardly resist poking the Chinese regime to make sure that Chinese glory is missing. It might be time to revisit the limit as x goes to mathematical infinity for 1/x. *Chinese Mathematician Discovers Groundbreaking Proof on Prime N... more »

Will New Tectonic Fault System Kill the Atlantic?

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 20 hours ago
Well maybe. Otherwise I expect the Atlantic to grow a great deal more. I am not comfortable that we really have an understanding of all this. Recall that the Pacific occupies an entire half of the globe and I recognize no available mechanism able to send a continent onto that slab. It behaves as if we would have to observe massive outpourings that quickly built up a continent. This extension is the natural extension of a long established East West subduction zone that swallowed the Tethys Sea as the Pacific expanded. What appears to be happening is that continents are now ... more »

Modified HIV Eliminates Terminal Cancer

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 20 hours ago
We never mention the long shots that do not work, but this one is important. The HIV virus had been altered to prevent the disease itself and simply exploited its unique behavior to alter the immune system. This actually is an excellent protocol because it massively strengthens the effectiveness of the immune system in the face of full blown cancer. It should be effective against all cancers as most cancers have also denatured the body's own immune system in order to thrive. It is likely too soon for a written report, but this video tells us all about it. *Doctors Tak... more »

The massive protest movement of June 30, 2013 has been taking place in more than 19 public squares in cities all over Egypt, where people in the millions are calling on President Morsi to resign. All these massive protests reflect the second stage of the stalled revolution of January 25, 2011. More Pre-Arnold UFO Sightings

I’ve been looking for documentation that proves a sighting was pre-Arnold, meaning that it was published in some form before June 24, 1947. My luck has been sporadic. I’ve found some but there are more out there. The trick was to figure out where to look. There are many cases that were reported after Arnold but that were made prior to him. For guy who's smart enough to hack into the NSA's database, Ed Snowden was shockingly unprepared for the aftermath of publicly admitting his crime.
