"We Stand Now..."
"We stand now where two roads diverge. But unlike the roads in Robert Frost's familiar poem, they are not equally fair. The road we have long been traveling is deceptively easy, a smooth superhighway on which we progress with great speed, but at its end lies disaster. The other fork of the road- "the one less traveled by" - offers our last, our only chance to reach a destination that assures the preservation of the earth." - Rachel Carson
"You Never Have Time, Only Intentions"
*"You Never Have Time, Only Intentions"* by David Cain "In my new house the top floor is a single room with gabled walls and a single window that looks out over the street. I go up there twice daily to meditate for half an hour, so every time I’m in that room I can’t help but think, at least once, about how much time I have left in the day. During those sessions I’m more aware of my thoughts, and the effect they have on me, than at any other time. And I’ve noticed that the amount of time I have left after my sitting - before I have to be somewhere, or before bedtime - makes a big d... more »
"Finding Time for You: Your Most Vital Commitment"
*"Finding Time for You: Your Most Vital Commitment"* by Madisyn Taylor, The DailyOM "We can excel easier in our lives when our own spiritual, physical, and intellectual needs are fulfilled. Within each of us, there is a well of energy that must be regularly replenished. When we act as if this well is bottomless, scheduling a long list of activities that fit like puzzle pieces into every minute of every day, it becomes depleted and we feel exhausted, disconnected, and weak. Refilling this well is a matter of finding time to focus on, nurture, and care for ourselves, or "you time." M... more »
Growing Indicators of Brennan's CIA Trump Task Force
[image: undefined] The average American has no idea how alarming is the news that former CIA Director John Brennan reportedly created and staffed a CIA Task Force in early 2016 that was named, Trump Task Force, and given the mission of spying on and carrying out covert actions against the campaign of candidate Donald Trump. This was not a simple gathering of a small number of disgruntled Democrats working at the CIA who got together like a book club to grouse and complain about the brash real estate guy from New York. It was a specially designed covert action to try to destroy Dona... more »

A Sociology of Liberal Democrat Snakery
Look at the photo. Just look at the absolute state of the photo. Greeting news that ITV will be hosting the first head-to-head debate of this election campaign between Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn, Jo Swinson went with cringe Hillary Clinton-style branding and the usual dishonesty for which the Liberal Democrats are known. Yes, her exclusion from the debate had nothing to do with the Tories or Labour being the two parties who will either form the next government by themselves or comprise the largest component of an ensuing coalition, and everything to do with sexism. Forget Stealth and F-35s: Missiles and Radar Changed Warfare Forever
*Charlie Gao* *Security, * Active radar homing air-to-air missiles were a game-changer. *Key point: *A lethal combination that created modern air war as we know it. At the end of the Cold War, there were major revolutions in the technology used for aerial combat. The most visible one was stealth, with the iconic diamond shaped F-117 and B-2 stealth bombers and the F-22 stealth fighter. But a second revolution was underway, with major implications for the USAF and other air forces.
