After Colluding With Trump, Republicans In Congress Deserve Everything The Public Gives Them
Young people don’t seem to like Trump much. A new poll from the Associated Press shows that Americans 34 and under understand that he’s racist, dishonest and “mentally unfit” for office. 33% of people between 15 and 34 approve of Trump’s job performance, significantly lower than the whole population. Reflections on a hunger strike
I've had a request to share some words about my recent 37 day hunger strike. I began the hunger strike on February 12, a few days after the first Taxation Committee work session on LD 1781. I was laying in bed talking with MB and told her I had come back from Augusta so upset that I knew if I didn't calm down I was going to have a heart attack. I knew the bill would be slow moving through the halls of the capital so I needed to do something. This and that for your Sunday reading. - Lana Payne offers her take on the need for Canada to catch up to the rest of the developed world in providing social supports: Canada is sitting at a dismal 17 per cent, down at the bottom of the pack with Ireland, Israel, and Latvia. No bragging rights here. Indeed, Canada doesn’t even reach the OECD average of 21 per cent. It was a surprising finding for many who follow such things. Perhaps it shouldn’t have been though considering what’s been happening in Canada for the past 20 years or so and the dominant narrative that Canada just can’t... more »

Happy Easter heathens!
Y'all know the story. Jesus died. They buried him. He rose from the dead. And then he started biting people and that's how Christianity spread throughout the world. I may be a little hazy on the specifics, and I HAVE been watching a lot of zombie movies, but I think that's the gist. Personally I do not think it is all that weird that Easter fell on April Fool's Day this year. After all I have been calling it a fool's holiday for decades. But still, in the interest of human fellowship, I hope you have a great holiday. And stay away from those Peeps, I have it on good authority ... more »
