* * * * *Stresses of Realignment are Currently Experienced by Many…* by ÉirePort Stresses of realignment of human energetic structures with upgrading Gaia grids are currently experienced by many in the Hue-manity upgrade path. This was anticipated, and is being dealt with at Higher Levels. Details need not be known at this time. Those with physical manifestations such as aches, general discomfort, unease with 3D earth tasks, may follow inner Higher Guidance (Intuition) for instructions to deal with these. All such physical manifestations are temporary. This realignment process co... more »

Climate change dates back to dawn of first farmers – ‘Early farmers used a lot more land, and they cleared a lot more forest per farmer’

[image: 'Earth Transformed': Agriculture's spread worldwide, with the numbers indicating thousands of years since its origin. Graphic: William Ruddiman / W. H. Freeman and Company] By Dan Vergano 3 March 2013 (USA TODAY) – Deforestation by early farmers likely kicked off an era of man-made climate change long before our present era, suggests a climate scientist taking a hard look at agriculture's early effects. Chopping down trees with flint axes, planting peas and shearing sheep — those all sound like the prosaic duties of the earliest farmers. But those same Stone Age sodbuster... more »

NOAA to map Alaska’s increasingly ice-free Arctic waters – ‘We don’t have decades to get it done. Ice diminishment is here now.’

*Arctic Nautical Charting Plan *from *climate central* By Michael D. Lemonick 27 February 2013 (Climate Central) – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has launched a program to update some of its nautical charts, thanks largely to climate change. The revisions affect Alaska’s coast, which has America’s only Arctic seafront. As a result of global warming, ice that has historically blocked Arctic waters, even in summer, has been plummeting in recent years, with 2012 ice melting back to the smallest extent since satellite records began. Busting up the false equivalency

Libby Spencer at The Impolitic - 1 day ago
A couple of days ago I tweeted how sad it makes me to see Ezra Klein apparently wanting to grow up to become the next David Broder. Deleted the tweet the next morning because it felt kind of mean, but I couldn't delete the thought out of my head. So it's especially heartening to see Ezra "Hulk Smash" the false equivalence crowd. He lays out the failings of the "if only Obama would move to the middle" idiocy, running down the various accommodations POTUS has made, and/or offered to make, in detail but this gets to the heart of the matter: This had led to a lot of Republicans fanning... more »

Yesterday, Salon’s Andrew O’Hehir tried to limn the semiotics of the highly complex affair. You’ll rarely read a piece on any subject which is so thoroughly uncomprehending. As Krugman explained Saturday (see below), Europe's embrace of the Austerity Agenda is failing-- and failing badly. That doesn't keep the elites from thinking that if they just squeeze working families even harder, it will magically prove them right. The fact-less claim that Jesus Christ was responsible for the September 11 attacks holds as much weight as the U.S. government's case that Osama Bin Laden was behind the suspicious events. The criminally insane state of Israel absolutely did the attacks of September 11th, 2001. On that day, their Mossad/Sayanim agents operating in the United States, as well as key slave puppets within the American government itself, pulled off that "terrorist" attack that took the lives of over 3000 innocent American civilians. Sadly, to this day, there has been absolutely no justice for the families and victims of this horrible attack by Israel against their "Greatest Friend" the United States of America! *"Stop Stress From Killing You"* by Elizabeth Walling "What is stress? Physiologically, stress could be considered any event that triggers a marked response by the adrenal glands. In basic terms, this response is the release of cortisol. It's the body's natural reaction to any stressor. For occasional stressors, cortisol can provide a burst of benefits like increased energy, heightened reflexes and a higher threshold for pain. However, when stress is chronic, as it often is in modern society, cortisol levels can remain unnaturally high and lead to damaging effects, which incl... more »

* This is my second guest post in antipinoy.com, posted the other day. ----------- China’s depopulation has begun. While it’s true that they still have a big number of younger workers, they also have a rising number of ageing people who need more healthcare, more pension and other retirement benefits. So the burden of taking care of the ageing people will really fall on the shoulders of the younger population. We covered Boehner's bungling of the whole Violence Against Women Act fiascoon Thursday. Another self-inflicted disaster in the Republican Party's pointless War Against Women. Here was the key paragraph, politically speaking, in case you missed it: So this morning they voted, first on the GOP fake version and then on the actual Senate bill. Their own crazy thing failed 166-257, only 2 old school, right-wing, misogynistic Democrats (Lipinski and McIntyre) voted with the GOP on it. 60 *Republicans* voted with the Democratic leadership against it. The Harperites will troll for votes wherever they can find them. That includes immigrant communities. But, at their core, they fear "the other" -- those who don't see the world as they do. That attitude is most evident in their attitude toward refugees and their access to health care. Carol Goar writes, in *The Toronto Star*, that a group of Canadian doctors and lawyers have decided to confront the Conservatives on their policy of denying healthcare to refugees: This week, Canadian Doctors for Refugee Care and the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers joined forces to ask the F... more »

NEXT GENERATION OF SURVEILLANCE

Argus Panoptes is the name of a giant of Greek mythology who had a hundred eyes and who was said to be “all-seeing”. What an appropriate name for DARPA’s latest wide area monitoring system, described as the “next generation of surveillance”. When mounted on a drone, ARGUS (which stands for Autonomous Real-Time Ground Ubiquitous Surveillance Imaging System) has a 1.8 Gigapixels video system that allows the constant video surveillance of a small city, complete with the tracking of moving objects and incredible zoom-in capabilities. Two days ago the tree sit ended, and yesterday Gifford Pinchot was released from police custody. Although he was charged with aggravated trespass, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct he was released on his own recognizance. This means that the judge weighed Gifford’s actions and given the options at her disposal decided to levy the lightest burden possible. This is a victory for the campaign! It underscores the support that we have in the community and the local political will against the project. It also means that although the tree sit at Cummins Hill ended, we did not ha... more »

I was going to rip this China-centered ditty until I saw it was from the Beijing correspondent, then figured there was no point in it. Before the 144th birthday of Vladimir Lenin (which comes next year), he wants to collect a modest 1 billion of signatures. The petition is short, simple, science-fiction-scale ambitious, and looks like it was written by a child from a kindergarten: Dear Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, We, the People of the Earth, request You to act judiciously and expeditiously to protect the Earth from a... more »

We always sort of knew that all this was likely true, but we now understand the genetics. The boreal forest is essentially open to agricultural development. It will require a people well adapted to winter conditions there although summer personnel can obviously be migratory. Please note that we have developed several protocols for boreal forest agriculture here that shows it to be quite feasible. *Cold resistance runs in genes* * by Alexandra Zakharova* * Moscow (Voice of Russia) Feb 15... more »

This item has an alternative explanation for Bigfoot genesis that I do not support. I expect that Bigfoot is totally independent from the Irish Giants who can be mapped coincidentally with the European Bronze Age in the Americas. Bigfoot appears likely to have arrived with the later pulse of human settlement that came out of the Bering Strait overland as the Ice collapsed. Both source human and Wildman populations were available on the Asian side and seamanship was unnecessary. The first pulse of humanity came by sea from both East and West in skin craft around 20,00... more »
