Unfortunately I have noticed that the daily news cycle, including in the so-called "alternative" media, ignores a lot of the questions that I have. Some Fundraising Letters Are Really Repulsive-- Others Are Kind Of A Joy

Yesterday marked the end of the arbitrary FEC fundraising quarter and every candidate was in a frenzy to get everyone on their mailing lists to part with their money. Some tried to do it by suckering you into their own desperation. Others were more skillful. Elizabeth aWarren, for example, sent out an e-mail Sunday evening absolutely eviscerating Status Quo Joe, without even mentioning his name: Our campaign doesn’t belong to the wealthy and well-connected. It doesn’t belong to Wall Street, the big banks, giant corporations, hedge funds, the NRA, fossil fuel companies, or Big P...more »

"The monstrous thing is not that men have created roses out of this dung heap, but that, for some reason or other, they should want roses. He will debauch himself with ideas, he will reduce himself to a shadow if for only one second of his life he can close his eyes to the hideousness of reality. Everything is endured- disgrace, humiliation, poverty, war, crime, ennui- in the belief that overnight something will occur, a miracle, which will render life tolerable. And all the while a...more »

WINGNUTS TRY AGAIN TO ATTACK KAMALA HARRIS ON HER ANCESTRY -- INEPTLY

Steve M. at No More Mister Nice Blog - 5 hours ago
Let's see: They've tried arguing that Kamala Harris isn't a "natural-born citizen" because her parents were both born overseas. (Harris was born in Oakland, and is therefore an American.) They've insisted that Harris isn't "an American black" (even though she's both American and black) because her black father grew up in Jamaica, not the U.S. Although I'm sure these attacks are still being circulated by wingnuts and would-be vote suppressors, both of them have fallen flat with the general public. *Should We Abolish Billionaires?* America now has more billionaires than at any time in history, while most Americans are struggling to make ends meet.
