“It’s Going to Be Staggering, the Amount of Names”

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 19 hours ago
To start with Epstein was no hedge trader and his exposure to the securities industry was sufficient to talk the talk and his attempt to become a partner in a major firm was first approved and then bounced. This most likely happened because his source of funds were not acceptable. The better story out there is that he was and is a Mossad asset who set him up to operate a honey trap. That would also have involved the CIA as well while providing them with deniability. His ability to establish a surprising work history has no better explanation since he had none of the expected... more »

Secret, Leaked Speech by Chinese Defense Minister Demonstrates China's Intent to Destroy America

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 19 hours ago
[image: china] It is not terribly surprising that the CCP internally promotes a NAZI philosophical clone however absurd it appears to us. That MEME has a clear history of apparent success in Germany and the whole world adopted German military philosophy during the first half of the Twentieth century, not least because of its success in battle and in mobalizing willing conscripts in particular. The defeat of Germany in WWII was a massively difficult proposition because Germany got really lucky and saw off it French counter weight right off. That did not have to happen at all b... more »

Integrity of China’s Three Gorges Dam Called Into Question

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 19 hours ago
We do not know if this picture is particularly believable, but it certainly tells a great story. After all that, this is the largest dam ever built and that means that it is operating outside of well proven engineering experience and thus is exposed to the real risk of been too large. Geology itself can shift, and the dam itself is able to also move. From what is reported, it does not appear that cracking has occurred which suggests general integrity is quite possible. Even if it does produce many oddities over fifty years this may still hold true. What also is true is th... more »

China Claims To Have Slashed Lithium Production Costs

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 19 hours ago
That may be true and it may help drive the cost of lithium batteries down. All good. It is no surprise that this is downward sensitive as it has historically been unimportant. now it is important and maximum effort is underway to slash costs and to secure supply. The supply aspect is merely a mining effort which is well afoot and will easily lead to massive injventories of concentrates. Processing those concentrates cheaply matters. Others are also on the path as well. This is coming and we will see it all under $5,000 per ton. You cannot preserve this secrete. *China C... more »

Jonathan Butcher at The National Interest - 1 day ago
*Jonathan Butcher* *Politics, Americas* [image: Daderot [Public domain]] Why? *Some Williams students will have none of it. Maroja says that more than a dozen of them barged into a faculty meeting last November holding signs such as “free speech harms” and saying faculty were trying to “kill” the students.* It became known as “The Bloody Morning Scout.” In 1755, Ephraim Williams Jr. led colonial forces and some 200 Mohawk allies into battle against French and Indian troops near Lake George, New York. "A Deeper Truth..."

noreply@blogger.com (CoyotePrime) at Running 'Cause I Can't Fly - 1 day ago
"There's a truth deeper than experience. It's beyond what we see, or even what we feel. It's an order of truth that separates the profound from the merely clever, and the reality from the perception. *"Luminarium"* by Anniina Jokinen “This site combines several sites first created in 1996 to provide a starting point for students and enthusiasts of English Literature, and has now grown to over 5,000 pages. Nothing replaces a quality library, but hopefully this site will help fill the needs of those who have not access to one. Many works from Medieval, Renaissance, Seventeenth and Eighteenth centuries can be found here. "The site started in early 1996. I remember looking for essays to spark an idea for a survey class I was taking at the time. It seemed that finding study material... more »
