Don't Cry for Me, Aristotle

Peter Cresswell at Not PC - 1 hour ago
Allow to me to pull on your coat about something: a wee story about Art, Tragedy and Catharsis. You’re watching a good ‘weepy’ with a box of tissues on hand, and you cry your eyes out – that’s what we call ‘catharsis,’ isn’t it? As everyone knows (or thinks they know) *catharsis* is a healthy purging of all your repressed emotions. You see a devastatingly good film or heroically moving play and pretty soon there ain't a dry eye in the house. Aristotle himself suggested that’s what happens when you see decent drama – particularly a good tragedy like *Medea *or *Oedipus Rex* where ... more »

U.S. To Arm Syrian Kurds Who Are Battling The Islamic State

Syrian Kurds *Washington Post*: *Arming Kurds is part of the new U.S. plan to counter the Islamic State in Syria* The Pentagon’s overhaul of how it counters the Islamic State militant group in Syria could create at least one clear winner: the Kurdish groups there who have engaged in heavy combat against the Islamic State for months. The Bigger Story Behind Russia's Cruise Missile Attack On ISIS: Moscow's Jaw Dropping New Missile Is A Wake Up Call For Washington!

By now, most people are fully aware of how several Russian cruisers and destroyers that were in the Caspian Sea successfully launched some 26 hypersonic cruise missiles in a very long range attack on ISIS targets in Syria..... It was an amazing achievement by the Russian Federation, and a huge success in their war in support of Bashar al-Assad's Syrian government.. But we have also seen the Jew spew western "media" try to play down this massive success by Russia by claiming, and very falsely, that up to 4 of the cruise missiles "crashed" in Iran during their long flight to Syria....... more »

A statistic from David Keighley's latest post at *Conservative Woman, **BBC apologises shock. But only to a climate change fanatic**, *rather took me aback (at least to begin with). David talks about the BBC's "brickwall negativity" when it comes to dealing with complaints, "combined with a liberal dose of bone-headed obfuscation to defend the Corporation at all costs". The shocking stat was that: ...according to Complaints Unit figures, only around 6 per cent of complaints are ever upheld by the Corporation - and those that are usually revolve around marginal points. Chester Barton and Roswell

KRandle at A Different Perspective - 9 hours ago
It seems that we keep coming back to some of the same tired questions. No matter what is presented in the way of testimony, it seems that someone has an objection Chester Barton in 1947.to it. Lately it has been the idea that all the witnesses were contaminated by the publicity surrounding the Roswell case. Even when I was the first to talk with a witness, the comment seems to be that they had heard about or read about or seen something about the UFO crash so that their testimony is “born” contaminated. When it became clear that the articles glowing tribute to the first family of Syria was NOT going to work with the propaganda that was being spun by the US and UK to destroy Al Assad, Vogue was forced to remove the article. Of course it is my position that any such scheme is too little and too late by far to matter much when we are really facing the demise of all carbon fuels. That will be something to be excited about. They are pulling off a well-planned takedown of just about anyone who stands in the way of the Assad regime. To the Russians, there are no so-called moderate rebels—just terrorists and non-terrorists. Only in the land of the “Wizard of Oz” are there good witches and bad witches. In the real world, witches are witches, and Russia sees things much the same way. They are spending big money and deploying many assets to destroy them. The latest show of f...more »

Also, RAF III was able to notice that the thesis refers to a 2013 TRF blog post. I assure you, it's not usual to cite blog posts and the tech... more »

In recent months, amid failed peace talks, continued fallout from the latest war in Gaza, politically motivated riots and car attacks, deadly rock-throwing and deadly res... more »
