CO2 Benefits Exceed Costs by … 50:1, more?

Cap-and-trade, carbon taxation, net social cost for carbon: all assume that increasing emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases by mankind have injurious effects that are not accounted for in private activity.  But the politically incorrect is intellectually correct: CO2 emissions make life better – even possible – for people, the economy, and the ecosphere.More

Greed Energy Economics:

Americans have been subjected to barrage of propaganda about global warming of a length and intensity never seen in this nation except during wars**. That it has failed so far (see polls here) seems remarkable (explanations vary). Instead of reflecting on this failure, finding lessons learned, the Left* has elected to double down: betting their credibility on increasingly extreme forecasts — a combination of misrepresentation of climate science and disregard of that consensus.

* An identification seemingly ignoring bipartisan participation ... but I am noting the presence of the meme which identifies someone like Barack Obama as a Leftist....a patently ridiculous character-ization of an Authoritarian ( or should that be caricaturization ! )

** How many would you like to count ? But they're not 'wars' unless authorized by Congress !
Drones away !

Zombies Needed for Drone Terror

Multiple wars of aggression, indefinite detention of suspects without charges, secret CIA torture sites around the world, and spying on all Americans are undeniable offenses of our government that have been agreed to by the corporate media and, by default, the public. Drone terror is just the next step.

Drone pilots are redefined as “sensor operators” and the drone industry is campaigning to eliminate the word drone. And the Air Force has turned to using video games, referred to as “militainment,” to recruit drone pilots.

In early 2012, the Bureau of Investigative Journalism reported on the military’s use of a drone technique called the “double tap.” This is where a drone attack occurs and then, moments later, the first responders who arrive at the scene to rescue the victims are hit with another drone attack. There is evidence of 11 strikes on rescuers between 2009 and 2011 as well as a deliberate attack on a funeral causing mass casualties. The double tap technique continues to this day.
Kids will quickly recognize the better-known use of the term double tap. It is one of the rules from the popular movie Zombieland, also made into a video game.
Killing enemies can be cool in a movie
Attempts to make these attacks sound cool or righteous are coupled with dehumanization of the victim
Bugs are the aliens in Card's Ender's Game and Heinlein's Starship Troopers ( an openly fascist society glorifying the military )

Vatican slammed by UN human rights committee over sex abuse

the committee blasted the "code of silence" that has long been used to keep victims quiet, saying the Holy See had "systematically placed preservation of the reputation of the church and the alleged offender over the protection of child victims." It called on the Holy See to provide compensation to victims and hold accountable not just the abusers, but also those who covered up their crimes.

Does your food do more than fill you up?

Food as medicine

The Hippocrates Health Institute Demonstrates How Food Can Be Used as Medicine

Through hybridization, and now genetic modification, fruits contain at least 30 times more fructose, on an average, compared to their predecessors

Four powerful nutritional approaches taught are: shifting from burning carbs to burning fat for fuel; eating raw foods (especially sprouts); avoiding sugar; including fruit; lowering the overall animal-protein content in your diet

Eat Your Medicine: Food as Pharmacology

New field of nutrigenomics, the science of how molecules in food interact with our genes to support or interfere with our health.  the average Chinese person knows more about the medicinal properties of food than I do after years of research. Medicinal foods are part of their every day diet.

The word for eating in Chinese is comprised of two characters: chi fan, or eat rice. The word for taking medicine is chi yao, or eat medicine. The ancient culinary traditions of China created meals for pleasure as well as healing.
Beyond simply being a mechanism for conveying calories, food is a source of special ingredients than can prevent and treat disease and transform your health. These are called phytonutrients – special plant chemicals that are not calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, but special molecules that interact with your biology, special molecules that act like switches on your DNA to heal your body.

Radioactive Fertilizer—The Surprising Primary Cause of Lung Cancer in Smokers

Revisiting the Charter of the U.S. Department of Energy (reasons to abolish the agency)
Upon a Congressional declaration of ”the public interest” and to “promote the general welfare,” the Department of Energy Organization Act of 1977 centralized the federal government’s energy functions. The new agency was premised on five beliefs:
  • an imminent exhaustion of oil and gas;
  • problematic oil-import dependence;
  • the efficacy of central planning;
  • the need to commercialize renewable energy; and
  • conservationism.
DOE’s rationale of market failure and government success has flipped. Today, it is government failure and market success. Oil and gas are more abundant now than 37 years ago; oil imports are decreasing to levels thought impossible just a decade ago; politically correct renewable energy remains uneconomic (note the wind industry’s dogged pursuit of the production tax credit); and mandated conservation has present costs and speculative future benefits (hence the coercion).
