America is a scoundrel. America is a deadbeat nation.

Saman Mohammadi at The Excavator - 10 minutes ago
America has never been a friend of liberty. America is a scoundrel. America is a deadbeat nation. America backs al-Qaeda and Jihadist terrorism in Syria and around the world. May God's vengeance strike down this tyrannical and criminal nation and leave it exposed to disease, economic collapse, mass shootings, civil war, urban riots, infrastructure meltdown, and a thousand other evils under the sky.

America Is Betting Against The Kurds In Syria, Backs Al-Qaeda-Linked Terrorist Groups

"It is clear in the civil war in Syria that the US backs the FSA. *Washington hopes that the fall of the Assad regime will allow the Syrian forces in the FSA to defeat the Gulf Arab militias who, by then, they hope, will have defeated the armed forces of the DUP. TV Watch: Lessons from "the" phone call on last week's "Breaking Bad"

KenInNY at DownWithTyranny! - 19 minutes ago
*by Ken* I hadn't planned to write about *Breaking Bad* again until the whole series was under our collective belts, but in a post prompted by last week's episode *The New Yorker*'s Emily Nussbaum, "That Mind-Bending Phone Call on Last Night's *Breaking Bad*," has raised two large issues about the relationship between TV programs and TV audiences which I think deserve to be shared. *[Needless to say, a spoiler alert applies for anyone who hasn't seen last week's episode, "Ozymandias."]* Actually, the issue that interests me more isn't really raised as such in the piece. AUSTRALIA: THE NEW RIGHT AND THE END OF TRANSPARENT GOVERNMENT

For all the foibles and weaknesses of the previous Labor government, what with its leadership issues and struggles to govern with the help of the Greens and independents, at least the Australian people knew what was going on as the two sides of the media, Murdoch’s right-wing hard copy and online news resources on one side, and the centrist and left-of-centre Fairfax hard copy and online news resources and ABC media on the other side, gave a running commentary which the Labor government under both recent leaders were always willing to respond to. On Thursday Justin Amash (R-MI) told a crowd of libertarians at the Liberty Political Action Conference that Senators John McCain (R-AZ), and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) "are on the extreme fringes of American society in terms of their views on war.” Amash is correct about McCain and Graham but this week he voted to slash $40 billion from food stamps and also voted to hold hostage keeping the government open to ending Obamacare. What Bernanke revealed by failing to follow through with the Federal Reserve's telegraphed taper messaging was put on display that five years after the financial calamity that began in 2008 and hit its most visible moments of turmoil in 2009 with Lehman Bros collapse and AIG last minute rescue - is the financial sphere is still on life support , still unable to handle even a modest withdrawal of the Fed's liquidity " heroin " ...... What Mattered This Week?

There's a ton of stuff to choose from, isn't there? And the big ones, or at least the potential big ones, seem to be from the secondary headlines. I'll go with the Pope -- but I'll mention, too, carbon regulation and Iran. What didn't matter? I don't know about not mattering, but I'm certainly on the side of those who believe the House CR was a maneuver to avoid a government shutdown, not a step on the way to one. I guess we'll see. But as I said, there sure is a lot to talk about here. What do you have? What do you think mattered this week?

* * *“What is the ‘Hegelian Dialectic?’"* - Stirling "The individual is handicapped by coming face-to-face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists." - J. Edgar Hoover “Why is it important for you to understand the subject of the Hegelian Dialectic? Because it is the process by which all change is being accomplished in society today. More importantly, it is the tool that the globalists are utilizing to manipulate the minds of the average American to accept that change, where ordinarily they would refuse it. The Hegelian Dialectic is, in short, the critical p... more »

CIA Weapons Are Being Used In Syria To Kill Christians, Kurds, And Other Minorities

Saman Mohammadi at The Excavator - 1 day ago
*Photo: President Obama on a conference call with al-Qaeda, Saudi spy Bandar Bush, and Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan, being informed that Christians, Kurds, and other minorities are being killed in Syria as planned.* Who says U.S. policy in Syria is broken? It is working perfectly fine. Murder and mayhem is what Washington wanted, and this is exactly what it has got. Religious and ethnic minorities are being attacked by US-Saudi-Turkish backed Sunni terrorist groups, with al-Qaeda at the tip of the spear. American-led Jihadist terrorism is driving hundreds of thousands out of ... more »

Elsewhere: The CR, Ted Cruz, more

Jonathan Bernstein at A plain blog about politics - 1 day ago
Let's see...haven't done this for a while, so there are a few. Today at Plum Line I got into the question of whether Democrats have already surrendered on the budget by accepting a sequestration level CR (the answer? No, probably not, but I'm not impressed with their strategy). And I got on Ted Cruz's case for his "new paradigm" of grassroots activism. What else? Cruz's rhetoric is self-defeating. The Republicans could use a Pope -- or maybe Gowron. Five reasons we might get a budget calamity. Summers and the proper use of trial balloons.

A mass shooting in Chicago has left 13-wounded but, so far, no dead. The fusillade was attributed to gang violence and many of the wounded were gang members. Police say an assault rifle with a high capacity magazine was used. *A 3-year-old boy, Deonta Howard, was critically hurt but was alert when he arrived at a hospital and seemed to be doing well, family and friends said. Two other people were in critical condition. The others were reportedly in serious or fair condition. Weaver Slams Christy Clark's Gassy Pipedream

The Mound of Sound at The Disaffected Lib - 1 day ago
Green Party MLA and professor, Andrew Weaver, says B.C. premier Christy Clark's vision of a future economy padded by immense wealth from liquified natural gas exports is a fantasy. *“I think talk of B.C. becoming a major LNG exporter is nothing more than a pipe dream,” said Weaver, a climate-change expert and B.C.’s only Green MLA. * *** Weaver said there is no way the province can meet legislated greenhouse-gas emission targets if it continues to develop the LNG option.* ** *“The numbers just don’t add up. The greenhouse-gas emissions associated with LNG development are simply too... more »

Godfrey Bloom, MEP for Yorkshire and Humberside has had the UKIP whip withdrawn after he referred to female party activists as “sluts”. It was all a joke, apparently... I guess we must be still waiting for the punch line. The worst thing, perhaps, about this latest UKIP to-do is all the concerned pundity: "will it affect the party's popularity?" Let me clear it up for you. No. Middle England bigots and reptiles have found a home in UKIP. Godfrey Bloom is merely expressing what these scum think but, usually, don't have the gall to say.
